So far UCL has been a great choice, despite the sometimes endless workload. Hope it stays that way:)
So far, UCL has been the greatest choice for me. The people in my department are really nice. I like to stay here!
UCL is a diverse and supportive College and that is a really good thing in most of the times. However, once the College is that huge and complicated as UCL, I personally feel a bit of uncertain and confused. It is no longer just a small school where you kind of know everybody and everybody knows you and that gives me a feeling of out of control. With all these new kind of teaching strategy and social environment, it is pretty hard for me to suit myself in to the big family of UCL in a short time.
But I think that can be ease by time and I’ve never regret of choosing UCL
I really enjoy my course: I’m glad I’m a UCL student! Unfortunately this year I’ll be studying online but I can’t wait to get to know better the people in my course once I’ll be in London.
There should be more awareness of students mental health during the lockdown
So far I really liked my experience here in ucl. It would have definitely been better if there’s no covid-19 but let’s just hope for the best for the rest of the academic year.
I feel like UCL is a very diverse university with so many students from different backgrounds.
Its a shame we can’t all meet each other yet!
I really like the content in my courses, the professors, tutors, staffs, and my classmates. They are kind and open-minded. However, I think that it’s quite difficult to know other students in another department. Now I’m studying remotely and I’m in a different time zone, so I may not be able to attend a lot of activities in clubs.
Also, I found it a little bit awkward and unfamiliar to know anyone through the camera.
I am enjoying my course and in awe of the level my peers are at.
I do feel stressful about finishing some assignments, but overall studying here at UCL has been satisfying so far.
I like how I’m settling into UCL for now. I believe that the best thing UCL could do for their students this year is to vaccinate them.
Never regretted my decision on coming to UCL. The experience was great, although could have been better if there was no covid. I met great people and enjoyed my course (even if sometimes it’s a lot of work).
Over the past few weeks I’ve experienced that UCL is a very welcoming and diverse community. During my first few weeks in halls I’ve met people from all over the world with different socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds and it’s really interesting to learn more about their country and culture. The course I’m doing very much fits my interest and the course content is very interesting. I enjoy the single face to face class I have and I hope that for second year, everything will be back to normal so that we can get a real taste of the university experience.
Love UCL😍
UCL seems to have a very diverse and welcoming community. Coming from a smaller, less diverse town situated just outside of London it is very nice to actually interact and be with people from cultural or national backgrounds other than my own. This was one of the main reasons I chose to come to UCL, and as a whole to study in London.
However, I acknowledge that as a non-POC student my experience will invariably be different from that of others.
so far so good
I have noticed that UCL seems one of the most diverse and welcoming Universities! I only hope that that will continue to improve, so it will become even more diverse!
I do see a diversity of people from different background, countries, and cultures (maybe not as much in terms of socioeconomic status).
It is great to meet so many friends from my department, as we have such a diverse community.
Our department staffs have been supportive. But im overloaded by the amount of work that we are having now. And also since im not in London, I feel like l have been missing out a lot of things (and not being able to make friends too…) Hope things will get better!!
My department has been very welcoming, particularly my personal tutor. I have participated in group work and have found it particularly interesting to hear the views and experiences of international students.
Our Department staffs are really helpful and patient. They could explain online stuffs quite nicely. But still, I feel a little bit isolated since I am not in London. Lots of the fascinating things I cannot take part in, which is a pity.
