Now that you have completed the questionnaire – Welcome to the Diversity Forum!
Hello my first year fellows. Welcome to the UCL Diversity Forum!
Don’t get too excited yet – please make sure you complete the following questionnaire:
https://uclpsychology.sona-systems.com/exp_info_participant.aspx?experiment_id=9681
Okay, those of you who have done the questionnaire, let’s get started.
As you might have noticed by now, this chat page is has been putting into use since 2019 (when I was a first-year!). It is designed for UCL students to discuss diversity and express how you feel.
You can post, comment and like on topics of your interest, issues that caught your attention, or even things you want to change. Besides, me (admin Audrey) will also raise new topics related to university life every week to stir up engaging discussions.
Every post is anonymous – feel free to play with your username!
Now let’s try to make your first comment: please comment below, using one word to describe your university experience so far 🙂

Busy – so many things to do and so many things undone when you are a third year!
A little bit overwhelming to be honest but not in a negative way.
Organised. I make lists and I follow it well
rigorous – it is a challenging new environment afterall
Exciting: Everything is new and although sometimes difficult to manage, I have been enjoying it so far
overwhelming (but not only in a negative sense, in a positive sense too)
The course is OK but starting to ramp up with assignments. Everything outside the course is pretty hectic!
new – I’m getting used to a totally new environment, meeting new people and learning new things!
exhilirating
overwhelming
a bit overwhelming but very enjoyable
busy – I have barely had any time to myself and have barley felt relaxed this last month
Quite turbulent but in an exciting way
